What Did this Eclipse and the Beyond Mean to Us?

                                                                                     בס"ד
The eclipse occurred on the 29 Av which is called Yom Kippur Katan, or Minor Yom Kippur. It is exactly 40 days prior to Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. It is Kabbalistic in nature, but Yom Kippur Katan happens on the day before Rosh Chodesh Elul when the New Moon occurs (when the moon is in the exact same direction as the sun). All the details are too deep for a discussion here, but the great importance to us is that is starts a time of the most intense repentance leading up to Yom Kippur in 40 days. Everything in the great cosmic drama is leading up to the coming of the Messiah. With the advent of the Messiah is also the end of the exile. The new moon is welcomed as evidence of the future redemption, and this year is even more mystical with the total eclipse.

In the Jewish tradition, the month of Elul is a time of repentance in preparation for the High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. The word “Elul” is similar to the root of the verb “search” in Aramaic. The Talmud writes that the Hebrew word “Elul” can be understood to be an acronym for the phrase “Ani L’dodi V’dodi Li” – “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine” (Song of Solomon 6:3). Elul is seen as a time to search one’s heart and draw close to Hashem in preparation for the coming Day of Judgment, Rosh Hashanah, and Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur.

This is the time that Moshe Rabbeinu ascended Mount Sinai for the third 40 days. Most people know of the 40 days and 40 nights that Moshe spent on Mount Sinai, but are not aware that he did this three times for a total of 120 days on Mount Sinai. The great importance of this third time is that Moshe asked Hashem for forgiveness for the sins of the Israelites, especially the sin of the Golden Calf. After these 40 days Hashem tells Moshe "I have forgiven, as you ask," and Hashem gave him the second set of tablets of the Ten Commandments.

This is very significant for us since today is 30 Av, the day before 1 Elul when Moshe started the last 40 days which ends on 10 Tishri, Yom Kippur. There is a parallel effort since we now start a 40 day period of repentance and asking for forgiveness to be written in the book of life on Yom Kippur. The big difference is instead of asking for our atonement for the coming year, this is the year that the redemption will occur providing us with atonement and salvation for all eternity. There was never in history a time more important for our repentance then today and the next 40 days.

What I have said so far is a very simple explanation of a very complicated procedure. I don’t want anyone thinking that I am saying we have to wait 40 days for the redemption. If we review my post on 8 September 2015 entitled “Another Mystery Solved” we see that the order of events in this redemption process is not so mysterious.

The blessings of the Shemoneh Esrei, in their correct order, are:

1. Patriarchs.

2. G-d's Might.

3. G-d's Holiness.

4. Insight.

5. Repentance.

6. Forgiveness.

7. Redemption.

8. Healing.

9. Blessing of the Years (prosperity).

10. Ingathering of Exiles.

11. Restoration of Justice.

12. Downfall of the Heretics.

13. Support of the Righteous.

14. Rebuilding Jerusalem.

15. Reinstatement of the Davidic Kingdom.

16. Acceptance of Prayer.

17. Temple Service.

18. Thanksgiving.

19. Peace.

It all comes down to measure for measure (how many times have I said that) when we ask what each of us individually should be experiencing in the end of days. If we are following the ways of Hashem, I believe we are either already there, or soon to be. If one is a skeptic, a complainer or, even worse, a heretic, don't expect Hashem to shower you with blessings. We really need to do the best repentance we have ever done, especially this month of Elul. Whatever you do measure for measure you will receive in return. We are individuals and are treated as individuals. There is no such thing as blending into the crowd or assimilating into society. Throughout history the Jews have painfully experienced that lesson. Hashem keeps tabs on each one of us – what we think, what we say and what we do. If it is a positive act according to His ways, we receive measure for measure a positive response. It is an exact science. Hashem is consistent and totally to be trusted. He doesn’t play practical jokes and He doesn’t change His mind. The design of this world and the life we live are constant. Hashem makes the world look random just to facilitate our free will; but, it is not random, it is by design for each of us. Your deeds, good or bad, will repay you in kind.

I do believe that we are at the end of days and that the next 40 days will give us the redemption, the Moshiach, the Temple, etc. When will each of those events happen? We are at different places in the list above depending on our individual effort. If we make the best or our 40 days with the most positive effort, we and our loved ones will be happy beyond belief. If we have a wait-and-see attitude, I cannot tell you how long we will have to wait as individuals, or if the goodness happens at all. Like every year we use Elul to set ourselves up for the best possible coming year. Just remember this year is different, this is our last chance to get it right for all eternity. That is for you and your loved ones who depend on you.

The eclipse was a very definite message from Hashem. This is the end. I have more proof that I will not disclose yet, since my research into scriptures continues every day.  Just know that this is our last chance to make sure we are in the 1/3rd group and that our tremendous future is available for the taking. All we need to do is turn to Hashem as we never have before.

  4. So, do you think Mashiach will be revealed before or after Rosh Hashanah?

    1. Even though the Moshiach is number 15 on the list above, meaning many things will happen before the Moshiach is introduced, I still believe that it will occur before Rosh Hashanah. I am still researching the timing on certain prophesies that may tell us more.

  5. Rabbi, with all due respect and I do believe mashiach is coming etc. but seriously after following your posts for 3 years with you predicting he's coming now or now he's really coming and niribu and glazerson who by the way now predicts the end of israel, I feel like I'm holding an empty bag and frankly can't take it anymore, he'll come when Hashem is ready we know nothing it would be great if he comes today or before rosh hashana but highly doubtful

    1. Moshiach is not coming, he is here already. The problem is we are not waiting for him, he is waiting for us. Last year was the year for him to be introduced, but we received messages from Hashem that we were not ready and didn’t have the right attitude. I have heard several prominent Rabbis, including the Rabbi who will be crowned as Melech HaMoshiach all saying that as long as we think that it is not time yet, Hashem is saying: if you don’t want Moshiach, you will wait longer. If we all said: We have had enough of this crazy world, WE WANT MOSHIACH NOW!!! Hashem would answer with: Now you caught on; here he is!!!

We are the delay and have been for a long time. But, Hashem does have a final date even if we are not deserving; and, He has shown us many, many signs that we are just about there – no doubt!!!!.

We do not live in the State of Israel, we live in the Land of Israel (Israel being the name giving to Yaakov). I once heard that Israel will be renamed after Moshiach is introduced. One source said “Yerushalayim.” Whatever, it doesn’t matter. We just want all the Jews of the world and the return of the lost tribes of Israel to be in the Land of Israel.

    2. DEAR UNKNOWN August 22, 2017 at 6:08 AM. This is not about you, " with all due respect" Rav, Menachem Robinson effort over the years are for those that are searching for the absolute TRUTH, from all around the WORLD. To those that are looking for hope, and guidance of how to prepare for the coming of MOSHIACH. Menachem has helped a great many come closer to Hashem, the Torah, and doing Teshuva, so that they can merit the 1/3 group that will survive. It is Menachem Robinson's efforts that can tip the scale and bring Moshiach at any moment. So please look at things in a divine way. Rav is doing Hashem's will. I understand your concerns, but there are many lost souls in this world that need to hear, that there is not much time left, and it is this urgency and warning that needs to be spread through out the world, so they can be saved. Rav. Menachem Robinson is doing the best he can, be thankful that he is able to share all his wonders and knowledge to the world. Be grateful for all the people throughout the world that Menachem Robinson has been able to help., and change peoples lives., and the lives that he has saved.

    3. You make valid points, however I have come across so many people who have heard from many Rabb's that it's imminent and coming and again believe me I hope it's today, but when it doesn't happen these same people fall into great despair and a great loss of emunah which is why I question trying to figure out when this will happen or not, we are even told not to look for things beyond our comprehension. I'm pretty sure just about every miserable generation that has suffered immensely in this exile all thought mashiach was coming, all I'm trying to say is it can have an opposite effect as well and cause despair and we have enough people suffering as it is.

    4. I give you the same answer that I gave to Unknown above:

Moshiach is not coming, he is here already. The problem is we are not waiting for him, he is waiting for us.

We are the delay, and have been for a long time. But, Hashem does have a final date even if we are not deserving; and, He has shown us many, many signs that we are just about there – no doubt!!!!

I have also written many times that we bring on our own suffering. Those who aren't doing Teshuvah, Tefillah, Tzedukah, learning Torah, helping others, the commandments are receiving their testing and Tikun the involuntary way, through sickness, problems, suffering, etc.

There is nothing random in this world; everything that happens to each one of us is exactly what Hashem in His infinite mercy knows that we need, measure for measure.

A big one is Jews that have not moved to Israel. The world's problems these days are outside of Israel. Hashem has told us many times: Come home!!! As long as we know better, we will get Hashem's Tikun the harder way. I have said many times the people in Israel who have problems are those who also are not doing everything they should. It is an exact system and when people catch on, they have received personal redemption, which is number 7 above on the list.

  6. 358: I have answered that question many times. But just to let you know, here is Hashem's opinion:

The Mitzvah to Live in the Land of Israel

“You shall clear out the Land and settle in it, for I have given you the Land to occupy it”.
    1. Numbers 33:53
RAMBAN as well as other Biblical commentators and Halachic authorities consider this verse a mandatory commandment – obligating every Jew to live in the Land of Israel. This Mitzvah is so significant that the Midrash tells us that this Mitzvah is the equivalent of all other Mitzvahs combined!

    2. Psalm 102:15
“For Your servants desired its stones and favored its dust.”

    3. Talmud tractate Ketubot 111a
The holiness of the Land is so potent, that it benefits even those who are buried therein; “One who is buried in the Land of Israel, is considered as if he was buried beneath the altar”. This is (one of the reasons) why Jacob was so insistent that his children shlep him to Israel to be buried. For those who are buried outside Israel, the custom is to place soil from Israel into the casket together with the deceased.

    4. Talmud tractate Ketubot 111a
Even one who only visits the Land is a beneficiary of its holiness. The Talmud says that “one who walks four cubits in the Land of Israel will merit a portion in the world to come.”

I could write a book about this subject and why there are Rabbis who are missing the boat (or the plane). There are many, many more reasons.

Please write to me a private Email, without names (Lashon Harah) and I will tell you very definite reasons, if Hashem's opinion isn't good enough.

  7. DEAR Shmuli BernhautAugust 22, 2017 at 1:58 PM, I can only assume that you are also the user id Unknown August 22, 2017 at 6:08 AM...

AS I read your second reply, You have expressed once again the concerns you have. There is something much deeper going on with you, and in your soul for you to make certain, generalizations of a few people to Jusify your own position on this matter., This should be discussed in greater detail with Menachem Robinson through an E-mail,, just for the fact that there are many layers to this discussion, TO ALL, time is running out., below is just a reminder. and to all the viewers out there, learn the TORAH,!! All the worlds knowledge is contained within the TORAH!. Be prepared, MOSHIACH will be revealed at any moment.

The Thirteen Principles of Jewish faith are as follows:

    1. Belief in the existence of the Creator, who is perfect in every manner of existence and is the Primary Cause of all that exists.

    2. The belief in G‑d's absolute and unparalleled unity.

    3. The belief in G‑d's non-corporeality, nor that He will be affected by any physical occurrences, such as movement, or rest, or dwelling.

    4. The belief in G‑d's eternity.

    5. The imperative to worship G‑d exclusively and no foreign false gods.

    6. The belief that G‑d communicates with man through prophecy.

    7. The belief in the primacy of the prophecy of Moses our teacher.

    8. The belief in the divine origin of the Torah.

    9. The belief in the immutability of the Torah.

    10. The belief in G‑d's omniscience and providence.

    11. The belief in divine reward and retribution.

    12. The belief in the arrival of the Messiah and the messianic era.

    13. The belief in the resurrection of the dead.
