A Very Exciting Video: PURIM - Be Happy with your LOT!

                                                                          בס"ד
In recent months I have been reading the writings of Rabbi Ephraim Sprecher, shlita, Dean of Students, Diaspora Yeshiva. I am so impressed with his writings that I included them several times on this blog. A few days ago I got curious enough to investigate this Torah scholar, and found that one of our dear readers knows him well. I obtained his phone number and called him to find a very exciting, friendly individual that I wish I had met years ago. I felt so warmly received that I got off the phone feeling like I was talking to a friend that I have known for many years.

Why am I telling you all this? I had called him to ask permission to show some of the videos that he had made over the years, especially the one on Purim that he videoed this week. I have seen so many videos and read so many words of Torah about Purim that I questioned: what could I learn new? To my great surprise, I was overwhelmed with learning very new aspects of Purim in the same way that the Rabbi’s writings were a breath of fresh learning air for me. The most important lesson for you to pay attention to is not the message of Purim but learning a lot about yourself, your life and the way you are in this world by design from Hashem.

Watch this video in its entirety; don’t miss a word; it is well worth your time (I have already watched it twice, and have learned each time):

I wish to thank my new friend, Rabbi Sprecher, for this very enlightening talk. I have plans of putting other videos from him on this blog, which I am very anxious to watch.

I also started a review of his Yeshivah to find a very beautiful source of learning. I will give more information about that soon, since I anticipate all the Jews of the world being here soon. I hope to expand his program to cover tens of thousands of new Bochorim when they get here. Bochorim are young unmarried men: youths; specifically: students in a Talmudic academy — called also a yeshiva bocher (singular).

  1. I would have a question for the rabbi. is Trump the one who will chase the Jews from the USA and Iran back to Israel?

    1. Everything is from Hashem. Hashem's plan definitely includes policies of Trump to bring the worldwide redemption, in the same way that Trump won the election because Hashem wanted him in the White House. Nothing in this world is random, especially the perfect plan from Hashem.

It is nice to hear from you Jean-Marie. It has been a while. Don't be a stranger.

    2. Thank you. I have no doubt about Hashem putting Donald Trump in the White House. my big question is WHY. only time will tell but I suspect that it is in part to break the old of the establishment on América but also HUMILITÉ to Américans.

    3. Obama, Gog Bush, Jr, the Clintons and others are members of the Gog Bush, Sr cabal that is trying to bring in the New World Order. You know when Republican Gog Bush, Sr endorsed Democratic Hillary for president his only agenda was the NWO.

Trump is not a member of the cabal and was a big setback when he won the election instead. That is why Hashem wanted him, and that is why Hashem made Trump the winner.

  2. This was possibly the best 57 minutes I have spent in a very long time! Rav Sprecher is an amazing teacher! He has an entertaining way of presenting ideas that are really quite lucid. Thank you Rav Menachem for posting this video. I have been reading his messages in Torah Tidbits for a while and pleasantly surprised to see you reprint them on your blog. May we all merit witnessing the revelation of our long awaited Moshiach in our times, soon! Shabbat Shalom v'Purim sameach!

    1. Thank you for your comment. Are you near the OU center to possibly hear the Rav's double header today, Thursday? I believe that they are recording it, but may not have it available for Purim. If you are there and have some details, I would be happy to hear about it.

  3. I agree, Miryam! I have watched so many Purim shiurim online and this was possibly one of the best! All new things I never heard before.

Thanks so much for introducing this rav to me, Rav Menachem! I have a question though about what he said. If 50 years before Haman, the righteous Jews went back to Israel and the majority remained behind, why did Mordechai not join those who faithfully went back to Israel? I know he was needed in the Purim story and probably to keep the Jews who remained there educated and with a rav but was Mordechai and other religious Jews like Daniel held accountable for not returning to Israel? Was it counted as a sin?

    1. Very good question. I don't have a good reason for his not going back due to physical reasons, such as the conditions in Israel or problems with leaving or traveling.

But, I do have a spiritual reason. Hashem sees all time. Hashem knew the problems that were coming in Persia and what the solution would be long before it happened. As Joseph was meant to go down to Egypt and save the world and bring the Israelites for all to result in the creation of the Jewish nation, as Noah was meant to be where he was to build the ark before the flood, as Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were meant to go through all the trials and tribulations that they did, I have no doubt that Mordichai and Esther were destined to be exactly where they were and when they were to save the Jewish people.

There is nothing random in this world; it is all scripted by the Creator of everything, including our lives.
