I too believe we are getting close, which means that all good people need to step up all their efforts to bring Moshiach. This is the most important time in history for Teshuvah, Tefillah, Tzedukah, Limud HaTorah, Ahavas Yisroel, mitzvot, etc.

We are close and it is incumbent upon each of us as individuals to do the right thing, turn to Hashem and prepare for the worldwide redemption. The Absolute Truthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14060786380470453883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-170726902683483449.post-52194301474207269632017-05-01T18:21:53.099+03:002017-05-01T18:21:53.099+03:00The Yishuv in Erets Yisroel was established in the...The Yishuv in Erets Yisroel was established in the 1700 entirely by Charedi FRuM Orthodox call them by any name they were Shomrei Torah Umitsvos !
Rabbi Yehoshuah Leib Diskin Was the undisputed leader for the Ashkanazic Community . I do not call myself Chareidi, Chardal, Orthodox or Ultra-Orthodox; I call myself a "Torah Jew."

It is like when I lived in the US and people would ask me: are you a Democrat or a Republican? I always answered: I am an American.

You realize that most labels come from people. As an example:
Orthodoxy (from Greek ὀρθοδοξία, orthodoxia – "right opinion") is adherence to correct or accepted creeds, especially in religion. In the Christian sense the term means "conforming to the Christian faith as represented in the creeds of the early Church". In some English speaking countries, Jews who adhere to all the traditions and commandments of the Torah are often called Orthodox Jews, though the term "orthodox" historically first described Christian beliefs. I believe it was the Reform in the 19th century that called observant Jews "Orthodox" as a derogatory term. The term "Modern Orthodox" is an oxymoron, as is Messianic Jew.The Absolute Truthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14060786380470453883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-170726902683483449.post-67445217409251760692017-05-01T06:38:26.382+03:002017-05-01T06:38:26.382+03:00Happy Yom Ha'atzmaut? That's why people started to go "off the derech" 200 years ago.

On the other hand, the haskalah didn't offer any efficient solution to the beatings, pogroms, hateful propaganda, concentration camps and Holocaust that happened when Jews were supposedly emancipated and integrated into gentile societies with "equal rights", since they believed that antisemitism arises because Jews stubbornly dress differently, eat differently, and act differently, so their solution was to eliminate those differences. Did the antisemitic hatred and slaughter stop? No, it increased. After WWII, EVERYBODY understood assimilation is not the solution.

Communism and the "international revolution" for all the workers of the world who would be united as a brotherhood?? Only brought misery, gulags, dictatorship and death. Fortunately it's over.

Finally Zionism offered our people a REAL solution: to be a free people in our land with a Jewish majority, to be able to defend ourselves and punish those who want to hurt us instead of going like a lamb to the slaughter, always subject to the mercy of the goim. We don't want to be martyrs anymore. And it worked!! For sure, Israel is not perfect, but we have a strong, independent and prosperous country where we can live and die as free men, keeping the Torah without fear. What we suffer today with all the wars, UN resolutions and Arab terrorism is a joke compared to everything what we have been through when we didn't have the medinah. And if your problem is that "Zionism is a secular movement"... well, that's not necessarily the case. There are many religious Zionists who keep Torah and mitzvot just like you, including one of the most important mitzvot which is living in Eretz Israel (Ketuvot 111). So stop complaining and learn from Herzl, who was a rashah, but at least he had Ahavat Israel (unlike many haredim) and wanted to liberate our people from antisemitic persecution and suffering. Or even better, learn from tzadikim who supported Israel like Rav Abraham Isaac Kook, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rav Ovadia Yosef and many others. And if your problem is that most Jews in this lousy generation of today are not keeping basic Torah, then stop complaining and start to work to make more baalei teshuva like rabbi Yosef Mizrachi has been doing for the last twenty years. Hashem doesn't like complainers and people who speak lashon harah against His children, specially when they do nothing to fix the situation (except for burning our national flags from the comfort of an American couch, or in some extreme cases kissing up to the ayatollahs, a despicable antisemite like Gilad Atzmon and other wicked people).

If you can live in Eretz Israel, like in our generation when the land is ruled by our people and every Jew is welcome (and there's no starvation like in the time of Abraham), I don't think you have an excuse to live in the diaspora (which is absolutely impure and filthy). And if you think that the miraculous rebirth of the state of Israel in 1948, the 1967 war and other events weren't performed by the hand of Hakadosh Baruch Hu who runs the world, then you are purposely blind or an idol-worshipper. Almost half of the Jewish people live in the land of Israel, which has no precedent in the last 1,900 years of history! But I'm not arrogant, because even a secular like Ben Gurion admitted that "in Israel, in order to be a realist you must believe in miracles." Some people still say "but muh we weren't supposed to get Israel that way!".... yeah, but we weren't supposed to suffer for 2,000 years either, so grow up. I'm not going back to your dark exile.
