I wasn’t sure if you wanted the information to prepare for RH or just that you were curious of what we read, after the fact. However, the answer is that both days are from the Parashas Vayeira:

First day: Bereishis/Genesis, the entire chapter 21 verses 1-34. The Chapter discusses the birth of Isaac, Hagar and Ishmael are expelled, Ishmael is saved and the alliance with Abimelech at Beer-sheba.

Second day: Bereishis/Genesis, the entire chapter 22 verses 1-24. The Chapter discusses the tenth trial of Abraham: the Akeidah/binding of Isaac on the altar and the birth of Rebecca.

Both days the Maftir is Bamidbar/Numbers 29:1-6 which is in Parashas Pinchas and is instructing us to observe Rosh Hashanah.

Since you know one of my hobbies is to look at what we read and compare it to what is happening today, I can say that I see some comparisons, but I have not done a full analysis, even the Haftaros. The Absolute Truthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14060786380470453883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-170726902683483449.post-44530826548183038482015-09-13T17:08:26.222+03:002015-09-13T17:08:26.222+03:00Can you tell us what Sefer, parsha- perek& pas...Can you tell us what Sefer, parsha- perek& passuk, corresponds to this new year?
