An Answer to a Not-Too-Good Comment. Also, an Important Weekly Message from Rav Ben Artzi, shlita

בס"ד
My other good friend Anonymous sent in a comment that was plagued with human illogical and flawed thinking. I thought I would share it with my readers. First his or her comment:

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "An Answer to a Very Good Question":

In reading your first paragraph..
In your town T.V. not allowed, hardly any radio to listen to, no no for computer.. I have read that many of the young ones feel suffocated. This kind of banning things is like you read of other religious sects, in other countries, who ban a lot of things, they are then like dictators. Did not Hashem give a free will and choice to all?
When free choice is forbidden.. this is not the way to live. I have read of youngsters who live in environments like yours, who want to escape.. like some ultra orthodox.. and then these young ones who succeed to get away from such repressive societies, lose everything.. and even shun, (not all of them ,,but some of them), their religion, or their belief too in Gd.
This is not what Hashem wants.. Hashem needs for people to come with free choice.. not forced choice. annon.
My response:

I thought when I read your comment you were joking, and then I realized you don’t have a clue of the worst world problems and the solution to it all.

First of all, TV is the most destructive element to society in the history of the world. It does not promote free will, but instead promotes animal instinct that removes free will. When children are bombarded with sex, crime, evil, improper language, hatred, horror, terror, etc, etc, etc and it is used as baby sitter because parents are too ignorant to protect their young impressionable minds and too lazy to give their children positive enforcement in life, you are looking at the biggest contributor to the downfall of this world. We are in such an evil world because we learn from a young age all the wrong things and not the good things. Do you really think that people, especially children can handle such filth and survive? Human beings do not run on free will; they run on animal instincts. Teaching the young mind the worst of the worst from the beginning of life is an absolute disaster and the world situation is 100% proof.  Check out my post of 3 May 2012 on what Free will really is:

http://absolutetruth613.blogspot.co.il/2012/05/free-will.html

The city I live in is the closest atmosphere to the worldwide redemption. It is what we are striving for and the reason we want the Moshiach. This city is virtually without crime; we don’t even have a police force. Stores leave merchandise outside overnight and get deliveries of new merchandise before the stores open. Store owners are not afraid of theft since the residents know that Hashem is watching them and will measure for measure react. The children in this city are the happiest that I have ever seen. Most of the children in the world are plagued with violence, child abuse, sexual problems, drug problems, hatred, sibling rivalry, danger, etc, all the things they have learned on TV that is considered normal. That is almost completely unheard of in this city since boys and girls are in separate schools, dating doesn’t occur until it is time to get married, most children live in a home that has two parents, a man and a woman (what a novelty), most children get lots of attention from the family, I have seen virtually no fighting amongst children and even siblings, instead it is amazing the love and help that children provide for their brothers and sisters, in thirteen years, The devorce rate is extremely low (check statistic – I have). I have seen very few incidences of crying children. The most stable, happy people in the world are my neighbors. Why not? Most of them pay no attention to the craziness of the world. You mentioned children manage to “get away.” Yes that happens when they going astray by using tablets and cell phones to see that filth of the rest of the world. I have never witnessed a child who has gone astray coming out successful – they have ruined their lives. If you believe that going away from Hashem’s instructions is a good thing, please explain to me why the secular world is in such horrible condition.  Note: there are many such communities in Israel that are living the Absolute Truth and the happiness of this world.

The biggest industry in this city is Torah study. People are paid to study Torah; that is how important it is to each of us and to the success of the world. I have 10 grandchildren who live in this city. Believe it or not the most entertaining activity that they enjoy is reading and studying the real world as Hashem intended it. Birthday gifts are so simple. Just buy another book; they get very excited. Their peace of mind is so obvious, that one can feel so good knowing that they live the good of this world, not the evil. Do they hear about the evil of the world? Occasionally, but it is so unimportant to them especially since they know that Moshiach will be in charge soon, and it will all be gone.

Along with the store owners trusting their customers, even transportation is on the honor system. Men and women don’t sit together on busses. The women even enter the bus by the center door instead of the front door (they do not want men looking at them and want to be separated). We have a card that we swipe to pay our fare. Women and children who enter the center door are completely on the honor system to swipe their own cards and pay. Nobody would ever think of cheating the bus company, especially, once again, Hashem is watching.

My son took a taxi from Jerusalem to his home in our city. When he arrived he realized he didn’t have his wallet with. The taxi driver said, don’t worry I will be by this way tomorrow, you can pay me then. I have a taxi driver that I use all the time that has the city memorized. When I call him he knows where I live and even the address of people that I wish to visit. All I have to say is: take me to my son’s place and we are good to go. Recently, he saw me walking home and stopped to offer me a ride. I took advantage of his kindness. When I got home, I took out my money to pay him and he said: I made enough money today; you don’t need to pay me. Just like the taxi drivers in America (that was a joke).

I have thousands of stories of kindness and people helping people that would make you wonder which planet I live on. Mostly because of my military career, this is the 26th place that I have lived. Wherever you live and whatever lifestyle you are experiencing, I have probably been there and done that. I lived for 6 years in Europe, 13+ years in Israel and about 53 years in 5 different states in the US. I have been in 39 states and 20 countries. I think I have seen it all or at least, Hashem has shown me enough for me to talk with authority on all types of lifestyles in all types of places.

Let me tell you a boring story that changed my life completely. It may be boring to you, but if you think about it, you probably experienced the same situation. When I was in college full time in the beginning of the 1960’s I used to have lunch every day with a group of friends that just happened to be non-smokers. We started to have lunch with a group of smokers and, being college students, it led to a great debate about smoking. This occurred long before the Surgeon General put skull and crossbones on each pack, but we still had reports to look at and even experiments to try. We went into a chemical lab and divided up the pure smoke and the gook that settles in our lungs. We did this in a test tube with a charged electrical probe. We did everything. One day a member of the smoking group asked me a question: Did you ever smoke a full cigarette from stem to stern (my wording here lets you know how little I know about cigarettes, which have neither stems nor sterns). My answer was a definite: NO. He said: here have one and let me know what you think. I for the first time (and the last time) in my life smoked a full light, menthol cigarette. The results: I enjoyed it enough to say: “I will never touch another one for the rest of my life.” I learned that day that I was a weak, vulnerable human being, who probably could become addicted to cigarettes. I later applied this thinking to alcohol. I only use grape juice and not wine for Kiddush. All the weaknesses of life, all the temptations of life are available and it has become my mission to take control. TV is addictive, movies are addictive. But, so is reading addictive.

After studying Psychology for a half of a century, I am to this day totally aware of my frail shortcomings in life, my animal instincts and that fact that I could become addicted to any substance that I think won’t affect me. I also learned that I could become addicted to good things. I am addicted to Torah, to Judaism, to the ways of Hashem. That was the best thing that happened to me since the results were very positive.

Now, I ask you to evaluate the same boring story of your life. Have you been tempted? Of course you have, it is the job of the Yetzer Harah to put you in harm’s way. Have you overcome your addictions? Do an evaluation; you may be very surprised at the answer. Do you know that Torah is the remedy to all your problems? You would know it fully if you have become addicted to Torah, and can’t leave it alone. How do you know whether you are addicted or not? If you are totally happy in life and have complete peace of mind about your life now, and your entire future, are you addicted (congratulations). Try it, you’ll like it. Once you see the great benefits, you will become addicted and want more. It is the human way.

If, like my Anonymous friend above, you think that Hashem’s way is anything other than your key to success, and that a truly observant Torah lifestyle is taking away your free will, consider yourself living in the upside-down fantasy world of lies and deceit. You know nothing about how tremendous life can be and how much you are throwing away your ticket to a joyous and very successful eternity. Please stop thinking like a flawed human and start living the absolute truth; your way to complete happiness and peace of mind.  That is what Hashem wants!!!!!!!

Message from Rabbi Nir Ben Artzi, Shlita, Parashat Shelach, 13 Sivan 5776 (19/6/16) (Please read the entire message to the end).

G-d is Leader of the World, Father of the World, of all worlds. If people still do not understand that G-d is leading the world, it is their problem. G-d is bringing the ten plagues all over the world, every day, each day in a different place.

G-d is asking the Jews to understand his signs, his very obvious signs. G-d is telling the Jews abroad: "You better run from their as fast as you can, come live in the holy land, settle the holy land of Israel. The exile is over; as is the horrible suffering the Jews have endured for thousands of years. Jews who wish to continue suffering are making their own choices, but don't complain afterwards that you were not warned from the heavens." Anti-Semitism and racism is increasing in the world, every day much worse than the day before. One day, it will hit all of the Jews outside of Israeli in the face and they will regret that they didn't understand and run away in time to the holy land. The situation in the world is unusual, the world is in chaos, there is no peace or quiet in any country, everyone is in conflict, except in Israel.

ISIS is attacking everywhere; they are threatening Europe and all of the Arab countries.

Islam in the world, all of Africa and the refugees, want to conquer Europe and make it Muslim. There will be a big mess in Europe because the Muslims want to eradicate Xtianity.

Every country and person in this world that wants to take parts of Israel away and create a Palestinian state will be destroyed by G-d. Don't mess with the holy land of Israel; it belongs only to G-d! G-d will destroy countries, bring disasters to people that want to take even a centimeter from Israel - you have been warned! Anyone that gives strength to Arab countries in order to harm Israel and take parts away will suffer the wrath of G-d.

In Egypt, Sisi should not interfere with the Palestinians and Hamas to create a Palestinian state; it will not end well for Egypt. If he continues to interfere in order to establish a Palestinian state, Egypt will be destroyed.

Woe unto anyone who laughs or mocks the issue of the Aswan dam. The Aswan dam can erupt at any minute. Egypt has been warned: do not interfere with the Palestinians and Hamas in order to take parts of Israel away and create a Palestinian state! A lot of ammunition reaches Gaza from Sinai desert; all of the soldiers in Egypt are corrupt.

In Jordan, a volcano has begun because of five million refugees that are multiplying and doing what they want. Jordan is going to erupt. Jews, don't invest in Jordan, keep your money in your pockets.

The US is busy with the elections. The candidates are bleeding hearts in front of the Jews and are competing against each other like they love the Jews. They don't care about the Jews, only about themselves. They don't want any Jews in the US. Racism began from Xtianity thousands of years ago and now the Muslims have learned from them.

Russia loves the Jewish nation, the Jewish mind. They know that Jews have a higher power guiding them and helping them in the holy land, because it is not possible that such a small place on earth (Israel) feeds and guides the entire world! The Russians are smart.

Syria is being destroyed. Hezbollah, rebels, and others are fighting each other, it is chaos.

Hezbollah and Nasrallah are being fools, they want to scare Israel. Israel is not afraid of anyone! Despite the protection from G-d, surrounding Israel like a dome, the IDF must still be vigilant in the northern border.

Lebanon doesn't care about anything. Deep down, they are happy that Syria is falling apart and Hezbollah are fighting with Syria and the rebels.

Hamas is waiting for elections in the US to see what the response will be. In the meantime, they are preparing ammunition, rockets, digging tunnels and waiting to see what will happen in the US elections before they decide what to do. Hamas has stations in Hebron and East Jerusalem where they transfer classified information to each other around Israel. They are very organized and are always planning where to attack in Israel. More rigorous investigation is required.

Turkeys is controlled by ISIS.

Iran is afraid of Israel and continues to send ammunition to Arab countries. G-d will destroy their atomic factories.

There will be malfunctions all over the world in countries with nuclear factories.

All of the times we wished over the years that they "fall on their swords and their bows break", after Shavuot the wishes started to really come true, everything is happening.

The state of Israel must be vigilant to prevent all of the impurities from entering Israel! Check in East Jerusalem and the West Bank, in the north and the south, but mostly in East Jerusalem and the north - do not leave an opening for them.

All of the parliament members and ministers - the people chose you, be vigilant and don't give one centimeter of Israel away. Jews have nowhere to go and the Jews abroad will have nowhere to run if heaven forbid parts of Israel are taken away! Seven billion people in the world will harm the Jews living outside of Israel and they will need to come live in Israel. The spies that slandered and said bad things about Israel have died and the entire old generation has died in the desert because they laughed at the holy land of Israel. The holy land belongs only to G-d and the Jews living in it.

Whoever invests in shares is taking risks. One succeeds and one falls - invest in real estate.

There is no unemployment in Israel and there will never be! People must only want to work and everything will be good in Israel!

Parents, watch over the sons and daughters of Israel so that they do not assimilate. Assimilation angers G-d.

All of the factories and institutions in Israel that don't obey the commandments will go bankrupt. If they work honestly and fairly, give ma'asarot, create mikvaot, support bible scholars, and help the needy, they will be blessed.

All of those who steal, take bribes, and live on the backs of others will be revealed.

Father in Heaven is calling out to the Jews to wake up. "My messenger is in Israel, the Messiah is working, support him!" You must not deny and say that it is not time or that it is strange. People who say that they don't believe the Messiah will be revealed, that resist and don't help, are causing great disasters in the world and will be judged. G-d is not using signs anymore; G-d is showing the Jews and the world what He is doing for the holy land. Please Jews, do not ignore this! If you ignore it, you mess with G-d. Israel's greats must call out to G-d to make the Messiah King public. When the Messiah King operates in public, no Jew will die; there will be eternal life for the people of Israel.

Dear Jews, take this to heart, it is not strange, it is real!

  1. Dear Reb Menahem shalom.
Thanks again for your strengthening posts and efforts, you and a few other Geula bloggers (Devash, Dvorah, Yaak, Dov etc.) became a real oxygen for many Mashiah expected like me... Simply yishar koach!
Some little questions, about the end of the message: I suppose we more or less all pray G-od daily to send us Mashiah immediately and with rahamim... But how can we support a specific person when we don't know who it is and even some say that He still doesn't know himself that He is the ointed. It's not a theoretical question but very practical: according to the exigence defined at the end of the message, what exactly do we have to do except begging Hashem everyday to reveal Him. what does "support Mashiah" means today?
A second question about Rav Ben Artsi messages: he says that all the world is collapsing economically and it soon will be even worse, and that only in Israel the economy is strong and B"H will get stronger and stronger. In a global economy where every country is connected with the others, when if there is a crash, then everybody suffers from it, and if the dollar disappears so all the money disappears, how in a natural process scope can our little beloved country see prosperity when everything is collapsing around, and even all kind of money and trade is about to disappear from the world at least as we know it ?
A last interrogation: Rav Ben Rzi and many say that all people who go in the right way won't meet any personal difficulty etc... On the second hand the only people I know who beg Hashem with tears everyday for Mashiah suffer from hard humanly unsolvable problems on a daily base in their lives. People with quiet lives may pray for Mashiah, even in a daily base, but not intensively, only because its a mitzvah...or they don't think about the nice option of 'Geula now" at all. Does this mean that only people that are not on the right path, so they suffer from huge problem in their daily life, are here to expect the geulah daily and sincerely? I'm sure I don't understand what the Rav means and will be happy to receive an explanation to this suggiah.
Be blessed among Am Israel and the righteous of this finishing world...
    Itzhak, Yerushalaim.
P.S. I'll be very honored to meet you, if you want. Since a few months I wrote you a mail telling you I was managing construction sites around Beitar. I suppose you're too busy to look and answer all your inbox messages... Anyway be blessed and may we all meet soon at the entrance of Beit Hamikdash.

    1. I am tempted to write a full post to answer your excellent questions, but it would be next week before it would be possible. I will instead try to accommodate your inquiries here.

The man that will be anointed as Moshiach definitely knows. It is the reason we are being told how hard he is working to become anointed as King. I always like to compare activities leading up to the Geula with the first Geula. The time that Moshe Rabbeinu took from when Hashem told him to go to Egypt to the actual Exodus was years. The going to Egypt, the rejection by the people, Moshe leaving and coming back something like a half a year later, the time of the plagues (one year) all took time. We are experiencing the same thing, now. Rav Ben Artzi and others stating that the plagues have been going on; the great amount of preparation by the man to be anointed Moshiach has all been taking years. I remember hearing that this designated Moshiach was anointed in Heaven about 5768 and will be anointed on Earth for us to witness this year, 5776.

This is quite a climax to the worldwide redemption – it obviously could not have happened over night. Why? Hashem could have made one plague to take care of the evil Egyptians, but it was more important for all the Israelites to see a whole year of such devastation. We are in the same situation. The number of people increasing their Teshuvah and prayer is a slow process since humans, both then and now, need the conditioning, need to experience the reality. We are not robots that Hashem can just program us to be obedient; we need very strong events to make an impact on our lives to get us to turn to Hashem. Of course, we are close to the Geula since the final impact will be the devastation that is forthcoming.

How do we support Moshiach and get the crowning to happen? Just what I said above. Our personal Tikun is the key. Our Teshuvah with very definite changes in our lives along with turning completely to Hashem is what is needed to bring the Geula. The conditioning of the first Geula is happening for the second Geula. How do we let Hashem know we have had enough and want Moshiach? We shout it out and get everyone else to do so. Hashem wants Achdus, unity from the good people of the Earth. When we wake up to the reality; when we catch on to Hashem’s system, we will have it all.

Who is suffering the most? The ones who measure for measure need it. Teshuvah is not words, but actions. I have had so many Emails from readers telling me that they are doing Teshuvah and praying and yet they are still suffering. When I get very specific about what they are doing to improve, I find most of it is lip-service, not effective Teshuvah. I ask specific questions about their davening three times a day, their putting on Tefillin, wearing a Tallis Kattan, or women covering their hair, observing family purity, observance of Shabbos, checking for Shatnez, etc. In other words if I ask them 613 questions about their level of observance, they do not do well in the Teshuvah analysis. Tikun is perfecting our soles by accomplishing the 613 mitzvot (including studying the ones that we do not have an obligation to fulfill). Most people think all I have to do is ask for Moshiach and I shouldn’t have to suffer. They do not know what Tikun entails and the fact that the suffering, life’s problems, make up for the observances that we have not accomplished. This is a lot deeper than I could bring up here, but if you reread the more than a thousand pages that I have written on this blog for the past 51 months, you can start to catch on.

I mentioned before, anytime that you are in my neighborhood you are very welcome to visit. Email me in advance to make sure I will be home when you are in the area and we can plan a definite visit. I look forward to it.

  2. Hi, that is me again! I agree with you, the t-r-u-e God has everything under control … and does not need worship, of course. However, I do prefer to keep on living in a common secular society where I live and where I could learn about the many addictions and bad things that the city you live in does not have. And, believe me, I will make a point, even if I get to survive the judgement for enjoying the eternity surfing through cosmic stellar highways ( … laughing), I will make a point not to forget everything I have learned so far. I will never ever quit my sword, even when we get the heaven again, where locks are theoretically needless. I do prefer to keep on working out my free will surrounded by temptations, available around the clock, and I think I am doing quite fine. I have already stopped smoking many years ago. I have the wine (that I love), my feeding and the many aspects of my daily routine under enough control. I study a little bit of the bible almost every day (I do not read in Hebrew yet). In fact, I have already read the bible many times. I think it is just missing to stop eating for meeting God in heaven, or perhaps in hell, who knows ( … laughing), because the t-r-u-e God is Lord of everywhere, do not you agree? Well, I hope with this message to encourage you to write some more, I mean regularly, for I like your posts. But, please, write some more about Moshiach & Mashiach (really, based on my research about the matter, I do believe that the Messiah & Elijah that we are waiting for, I do believe that they are truly a couple that I call Moshiach & Mashiach), when is the messianic era starting? Is it going to start this year 5776? What are the rabbis saying (perhaps hiding from the goyim)? Please, write some more, I am fed up of waiting for, I want action, I do not wanna die fasting without a good motive. Every time I hear the music Space Cowboy by Jamiroquai, I just imagine myself finally free of this heavy human body, surfing thru the cosmic rainbow that I only have as a picture on my PC screen for now. Oh God, how boring my life has become with the improvement of my consciousness. In the beginning of my studies, when I was having a kind of eschatological deliria, it was also some funny, at least, but now it is all over. Even if God would come right before my eyes to talk to me, I would not trust His words without very concrete proofs following, that is the level of distrust that I have developed over the time. As you see, I spend my day studying, waiting the almighty couple to start the “end of times” action, or maybe waiting Death to take me home, because from this miserable human life I find nothing else interesting to wait for. So, write some more, I like it. Better to waste my time left reading, learning, doing something useful to strengthen my soul to face God in the eternity. I wanna ask the Lord why that suffering had to take so long, had to take so much of us … why?
    A friend …

    1. What you are saying you wish to do will greatly change soon. We are talking weeks if not days to the possible end. You will be kicking yourself forever and ever and ever and ever (this goes on forever) saying: if only I had... To take your eternity so nonchalantly is so easy when you don't have a clue what you are throwing away. I have heard people say: Well if I go to Hell, I go to Hell. That is so easy a statement until one gets there, and has such tremendous pain just from the remorse. How could I have been so naive, especially when Hashem was sending me such strong messages?

I hope that you are not married with children. What you are doing to them will be more painful than you can imagine. We are not talking a sad ending to a movie, we are talking an extremely sad and painful ending to your life and the life that you will live for eternity.

A few weeks of conscientious effort to avoid an eternity of suffering is a no-brainer. Get to work.

I say this all as the best friend that you ever had; someone who is obviously more concerned about your welfare than you are.

  3. BS"D
Thank you for yet another informative post. With tremendous respect, there is one pt.that needs further clarification.
The Ramchal writes that there are twelve reasons why people suffer; only one of which is Onesh/punishment. It is unsubstantiated that suffering is always "deserved". Even illness that used to be seen as a direct result of a certain area that needed tikun/perfection isn't nec. so today. This was said by Rav Mattisyahu Solomon, Shlit"a at a RCCS dinner, years ago.
Chazal do say that if one is experiencing Yesurim one should check their actions. If w/ an honest anylysis they can't come up w/ anything tantamount to the suffering Chazal make it very clear that one can conclude the suffering is due to "Yesurim Shel Ahava". There are certain Neshomos that are suffering for others. Therefore, it needs to be qualified that not all suffering is "Midda Keneged Midda" or deserved. Perhaps that is the case w/ some but not all.
Also, is it true that some have chosen to "ruin their lives"? Not so clear, certainly not as simple
left unqualified. You obviously have a happy temperament and as you say were blessed in many ways. There are others who are also ba'alei madreiga, elevated people and suffer greatly. The Ramchal as well as other Seforim HaKedoshim make it very clear that suffering isn't a simple topic.
R' Robinson, I know you're not making it simple but these pts. do need to be made.
Also, the following statement is being made in a very general way - re. children who "go off the derech" (and this is in no way giving anyone excuses to do that which they shouldn't); it is at times much simpler to "find the truth", "see the light" and become religious than to grow up religious from birth in a troubled situation.
Additional,it at times are very high quality Neshamos that are suffering and that is many times not understood the way it needs to be; sweeping statements only cause further pain in such situations.
I apologize that I couldn't edit "al rishon rishon", pts. Should be switched around so please consider them in the correct order.
    Respectfully,
    A very grateful reader

    1. I agree with what you are saying. The biggest problem we have is the translation from Hebrew to English. You will notice that I rarely speak of Onish, which is punishment. When Hashem in His infinite mercy is helping us for our shortcomings in following his ways, it is not punishment, but correction. Onish is really for the wicked.

If you go to my post of 26 Oct 2015, entitled "The Key to Happiness," you will get better clarification from Rav Avigdor Miller, zt"l: http://absolutetruth613.blogspot.co.il/2015/10/the-key-to-happiness.html
His clarification of us getting correction, Tikun by voluntary versus involuntary means says it all. Even the word "suffering" is a difficult description when it comes to Hashem's desire to help us. If one goes to the dentist and has a cavity drilled, is that suffering and punishment? Many would say it is, but in reality it is correction to fix something that is wrong or needs improving.

Believe you will find that Rav Mattisyahu Solomon, Shlita, and I agree on the matter, since I studied with him for years. I used to go to his house once a week for Shiurim. There are many topics that I have covered on this blog that he was my mentor.

  4. The Lubavitscher Rebbe says no Jew today should judge the other. At the end he says most Jews and Gentiles are tinok sje nishba, captive children and I agree with the writer above that we experience a strong feeling of suffering whether true compared to our fellow. Aside that the way we judge another is the way we judge ourselves. Also our Rav said clearly that it is not expected that every Jew is at the same level. Aside from that what is good for one is not good for another, ask your local Rabbi. My husband was told by his Beitar Rabbi not to come live there he thought it would not be fitting for him and his personality. I think we have to stop with all the one for all thing each Jew has the right and priveledge to his own unique development as the Lubavitscher Rebbe quoted each Jew, yes including the secular is like a pomagranate, filled with Mitswot. I think the whole fear and you must thing will often have the opposite effect. Another quote from the Lubavitscher Rebbe the only way to teach is with love and in small doses. The proof is that the letters of R' Arzi are read by my family and many others and no one is running and doing what he says (some do) the reason is that each Jew has his own process no one lets himself be forced despite what they see around them. So let's be a kind teacher and not a superstrict one. 70 panim be Torah each in their own way b"h Messiach soon by unity and mutual respect each Jew to their fellow, not only if you walk the walk and talk the talk, just as your unique, beautiful self created by G'd Shabbat Shalom

    1. I totally agree with what you are saying, but you have taken some of my statements out of context. First of all, I never said that Betar Illit was for everyone. I said that the life I am experiencing in Betar is what we are striving for the world -- it is the goal of the worldwide redemption. Whether here or one of many, many places in Israel, we all want peace and a happy life, my family just happened to find it in Betar.

You said not to judge anyone, which should include oneself, for only Hashem knows us completely. The biggest reason for studying Torah is to see what we need to work on for personal improvement. It is the individual who writes to me and says that they do enough Teshuvah and yet they still have many problems. The first problem to solve is never thinking that one does enough Teshuvah. This person is lost in the fantasy world and needs to find out Hashem's opinion of everything, the Torah.

When you tell me not to judge anyone and you proceeded to judge me, was that a catch 22? Be aware that I am not a Rabbi with a bedside manner but a retired US Army Officer with years of discipline training. If I am going to help people at this late date before judgement day, I need to be very forceful. It is for the good of my reader to realize time is up and thinking about what one wants to do is dangerous. The time for action has passed. If I come across as a forceful dictator, and it helps people, I have done my job.

Most people are very wishy-washy when it comes to making decisions, that is why so many Jews have not returned to Israel. I have a love for all good people in this world, and if I have to be mean to help them, let the love continue to flow.

One of the greatest advantages of having a Messiah is to have leadership that performs completely according to the will of Hashem. Until we have such leadership, all of us have to do our best to help people (according to the will of Hashem). I just take my job more seriously.

    Postscript/Disclaimer:

I want to make it very clear that I have tremendous respect for the writer of this blog, R' Robinson and in no way when writing my comment above was I conveying anything other than respect. The pt. that not everyone is suffering in direct correlation to their actions is a pt. which the writer is in agreement w/ as stated.

I have tremendous respect for R' Robinson and look out for his writing as well as Tomer Devora and Shirat Devora, etc. daily for their life-sustaining words. I truly believe they are Shlichim Kedoshim to help us all get ready for the Geula Shleima.
R' Robinson, the only way your work is viewed is as excellent and life-sustaining.
    A very grateful reader

    P.S.2
To the fellow readers of these blogs - I find it fascinating that even their names are a reflection of greatness in terms of being "MiChazeik" encouraging us all. These people possess great Neshamos and we are Boruch H' very fortunate to have them to help us maintain the correct focus - which is on H' and His Torah.
That is the Absolute truth. These. Chosheve people and their families should be blessed "Ad Sof Kol HaDoros" for eternity.
The world needs military training today. Especially in these last mili-seconds of Golus.
